ABOUT MEMultidiscipline ArtistBrian Pool is an Australian Artist, born in Townsville, North Queensland in 1967. A career as an Electrician was halted by an injury, this however allowed him to cultivate an artistic talent that has always been present, completing formal education to Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts in 2018.
Pool draws inspiration for artwork from the natural world, human spirit and environmental issues with influences on artistic style by artists like Edward Hopper, Jeffrey Smart and David Frazer. Brian’s mediums of choice are painting, drawing and print making from which he has produced artworks in oil paint, gauche, water colours, charcoal, graphite, etching, dry point and linocuts. His works have been collected by institutions and private collectors from both here in Australia and the USA. |

From October 13 to December 3 2023 a group exhibition titled Soundtracks will be at Perc Tucker Gallery in my home town of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. I will be exhibiting 12 Linocut prints along with artists Donna Foley, Rob Douma and Jon Electros.
